PS I know about the broken images on the site, I will get to them...soon.
There isn't anything I can say about this band that hasn't already been said on countless other websites. Muse's sound is unique but their messages are universal. Muse isn't afraid to state what's on their mind. And with their latest album, Black Holes and Revelations, their sound has gotten even better. So, here are a few videos from their latest concert in NYC to check out:
Plus, I've added a few pictures from the concert as well. You can check them out here: Muse, Live at Hammerstein. Enjoy!
Scientists have broken free from the shackles of Bunsen Burners and are now the creators of some really good music! Never heard of them? Well never fear, I finally was able to get my hands on two We Are Scientists' shows and let me tell you, it was amazing! They, of course, played everything off of their debut album but also played a few really classic covers as well.
Coming straight out of Brooklyn, We Are Scientists are an extremely humble band that aren't afraid to show to let lose on stage and sweat. As far as the music goes, they definitely have a distinctive toe-tapping sound. But enough rabbling. They are generous enough to stream their entire album for free on their site. So, if you haven't hear the album by now, you don't have an excuse.
Now for the media. Here are few pictures taken from their last two shows in NYC back in the end of June. I know, I'm late. Let's blame my procrastinating nature. And here's an added bonus, some videos!
Well, it can be found right here: FueledByRamen & DECAYDANCE's Summer of 2006 Audio Sampler. This is the album for anyone looking for some new music to add to your collection. From the well-known Panic! At The Disco to the obscure Cute is What We Aim, you'll find yourself tapping your toes to every single track. So, what are you waiting for? Click the link!
Don't know who Avenged Sevenfold is? Then I think you're seriously missing out on a truly awesome band. Plus, Bat Country and Beast and Harlot is playing non-stop on MTV and FUSE. If you don't know who they are, they're an extremely buff metal band from California. And while they have been around for some time now, they only recently came under the spotlight which is quite possibly due to their latest LP, City of Evil. Plus, if you haven't ever heard of them, I suggest you see them live. They put on an awesome show! I've posted a snippet from their Hammerstein performance below:
A crazy two day music festival, of course, with dozens of bands all competiting for your attention. This year's acts were no exception. You had your familiar favorites like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and All American Rejects playing on the main stage while less unknown acts played on smaller stages. If you're up for good music and ready to bear with the hazy, hot sun then Bamboozle's just for you.
While I came to see the bands playing on the main stages, I got a little tired of being pushed around, stepped on, and avoiding fat people that wanted to crowd surf all to get a blocked view of the band. Alas, but to my surprise I wasn't the only one that left the main stage to check out what else Bamboozle had to offer.
There were several acts that stood out among Bamboozle's smaller stages. Check out Bye Her Smile, Men Women and Children and The Attack as they performed live at this year's Bamboozle festival.
But the act that was the most fun to watch was a band called Captured By Robots. It's a one man act accompanied by robots, hence the name. Fun but a little on the gimicky side. Sad though, I think they had get potential but be sure to check out the videos I captured during their performance.
